Emergency Food and Shelter Program

Emergency Food and Shelter Program funding is available to help expand the capacity of food and shelter programs in high-need areas throughout Ventura County

The Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program was created in 1983 to supplement the work of local social service organizations, both private and governmental, to help people in need of emergency assistance.

United Way of Ventura County convenes the Local Board responsible for determining funding to agencies that provide emergency assistance for food, shelter and rental/mortgage assistance. For Phase 40 $335,611 has been allocated to Ventura County through this process.
