Disaster relief is a vital component in United Way of Ventura County’s fight to end poverty. The United Way is uniquely positioned to provide on-the-ground disaster response, including raising funds; providing resources to address needs; mobilizing volunteers; and engaging local partners to ensure community stability.  UWVC works closely with other private and public agencies, including local, statewide and national in addressing disaster preparedness and response through its membership in Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) and participation with the Ventura County Long Term Disaster Recovery Committee (VC-LTDRG).

To volunteer in response to a disaster in our community register as a Disaster Spontaneous Volunteer at http://www.volunteerventuracounty.org/need/detail/?need_id=311201.  You will be contacted regarding service opportunities related to disaster response and recovery for events impacting Ventura County.
